Evie from Monster Clothes is in progress, and I guess she should probably be my last print before the Photoshopping and scalpelling and making of dummy books. Today’s most debilitating dilemma was: which of the three on the left is Evie?
I chose the leftmost one eventually, with assistance – but this is really no time for arriving threefold.

Monstrous!

Hello, I have not been here for ages, but I have kept on printing monsters of diverse colours, shapes and persuasions. They are all over the shop now, these ones can fly:
I think they might be related to the pet thing in Shaun Tan’s The Arrival, but be having a Quentin-Blakeish kind of a day (especially the middle one).

¿Dónde viven los monstruos?

Why is that the Spanish title of Where the wild things are? Aren’t there wild things there? Anyway, I recently printed some monstruos.

What happens in the Outer Hebrides

Whilst on holiday in the Small Isles, Inner and Outer Hebrides, I saw a lot of beasts. I did draw them a bit, but mostly retrospectively on napkins, bus timetables etc. This is not exactly what I saw happening on Eriskay – more a kind of summary of the day’s events:

I was going to say that the two images below did not represent my recent experiences in this way, but actually, the one on the left pretty much happened last week, except that the mouse himself was not at home when I opened the drawer.

Happy World Book Day

I saw two Snow Whites, one Hermione and an Alice with a flamingo today, I was a bit confused, and then I remembered. Can you guess who my theoretical children have dressed up as? That one has been done for you. Because it isn’t very enormous.
